Ophelia Aovare sets eyes on NPP Regional Women’s Organiser position
Aovare says her decision to seek the regional women’s organiser role is fueled by her passion for women's development, empowerment and inclusivity.
Ophelia Philomena Aovare, the incumbent Women’s Organiser for the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the Navrongo Central Constituency, has indicated her intentions to contest in the next NPP Upper East Regional leadership election.
Aovare is set to contest for the Regional Women’s Organiser position currently held by Georgina Ayamba.
She made the announcement during an appearance on the Big Mike Breakfast Show on Wednesday, May 7, with David Adapuna.
“I am lacing my boots, when the time comes, I will go for the form to contest for the position of Regional Women’s Organiser.” She said
Aovare says her decision to seek the Regional Women’s Organiser role is fueled by her passion for women’s development, empowerment and inclusivity.
“We need to build our women if we want development, I am passionate about women development that’s is way I am contesting on the moto; unity, development, gender advocacy and inclusivity.” Aovare noted.
She has promised to take women’s activities to the grassroots when elected, while calling on like-minded persons to join her team to secure victory for the betterment of the women’s wing of the party in the region.
Avoare has, over the years, contributed to the NPP in different leadership roles within and outside the Upper East Region.
