A severe rainstorm that swept through the Saboro community on Saturday has left widespread destruction in its wake, plunging the area into darkness and disrupting daily life.

Three high-tension electricity poles were brought down by the storm, cutting off power supply to the entire locality.

While no injuries have been reported, the emotional toll and disruption to livelihoods are evident. A key road connecting the Saboro Dam to the main Kajelo route, and serving as the primary access to the Awe Junior and Senior High Technical Schools, has been blocked by a large tree brought down by the storm.

The storm has cut off power supply to the entire locality.

Residents, including schoolchildren and traders who rely heavily on this road, have expressed frustration over the disruption.

Community members are urgently appealing to the relevant authorities, including the Municipal Assembly and the Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG), to respond swiftly by clearing debris, restoring power, and ensuring the safety of the affected areas.
