Chiana-Paga MP summoned by NDC’s Functional Executive Committee over GH One TV comments
In a letter dated September 29, 2025, and signed by the Director of Administration, Emmanuel Zumakpeh, the MP has been invited to provide clarification on comments in which he reportedly questioned the rationale behind a proposed "thank you tour" by the party's national leadership in his constituency.
The Functional Executive Committee (FEC) of National Democratic Congress (NDC) has summoned the Member of Parliament for Chiana-Paga, Nikyema Billa Alamzy, to appear before the Committee following ‘unpleasant’ remarks made during a recent appearance on GH One TV.
In a letter dated September 29, 2025, and signed by the Director of Administration, Emmanuel Zumakpeh, the MP has been invited to provide clarification on comments in which he reportedly questioned the rationale behind a proposed “thank you tour” by the party’s national leadership in his constituency.
According to the FEC, the widely circulated video has raised significant concerns within the party’s leadership, prompting the need for a formal explanation from the lawmaker. The remarks are said to have caused disquiet among senior officials, who believe the comments were in conflict with the spirit of party unity and discipline.
Billa Alamzy is expected to appear before the Committee today, Tuesday, September 30, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. at the Party’s National Headquarters in Adabraka, Accra. The Regional Chairman has also been invited to accompany the MP to the meeting.
