The statement statement signed by the Constituency Secretary, Adafula Aiden rejected the allegation, insisting that no such incident had occurred in the constituency.

The Navrongo Central Constituency Executives of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) have demanded the immediate retraction of what they describe as a false and defamatory video circulating on social media, which alleges that party youth vandalised an NDC office in the constituency.

In a press release dated February 12, 2026, the constituency executives said they had become aware of “a grossly misleading and defamatory video circulated on social media” by an individual identified as Basiru Bejejugu, claiming that NDC youth vandalised their party office after waiting a year for employment.

The statement statement signed by the Constituency Secretary, Adafula Aiden rejected the allegation, insisting that no such incident had occurred in the constituency.

“We state unequivocally that this publication is false, malicious, reckless, and a calculated attempt to injure the reputation of the Party and incite public disaffection.” The release said.

According to the statement, there has been no incident of vandalism at any NDC office in Navrongo Central, adding that the claims being peddled are entirely fabricated and constitute a deliberate distortion of facts intended to mislead the public and undermine party unity.”

The constituency leadership is demanding “the immediate retraction of the said publication across all platforms on which it has been shared, together with an unqualified public apology within forty-eight (48) hours,” warning that failure to comply will result in legal action, including proceedings based on defamation and the publication of false statements.

They further cautioned individuals and media organisations against republishing or amplifying the material, stressing that anyone who continues to circulate it after the notice “does so at their own legal risk.”

The NDC executives also reaffirmed the unity of the party in the constituency, stating that the party remains united, disciplined, and firmly committed to democratic engagement and development, while urging the public to rely only on verified and credible sources of information.
