Amoakwa-Boadu Warns Mahama Appointees of Impending Scrutiny and Pressure

In a bold statement, Kingsley Amoakwa-Boadu, a prominent member of the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) legal directorate, has issued a stern warning to appointees of President John Mahama. Speaking on TV3’s ‘KeyPoints’ programme, Amoakwa-Boadu emphasized that the NPP will soon subject the National Democratic Congress (NDC) government to rigorous scrutiny and constructive criticism to ensure it operates efficiently for the benefit of Ghanaians.

Amoakwa-Boadu urged the Mahama administration to focus on the future and meet the high expectations of the Ghanaian public. Reflecting on the NDC’s recent electoral victory, he remarked, “For the previous government, they’ve lost, it’s a historical loss, there’s no argument about that. So, look at the future, look at what the people expect”. He stressed the importance of moving forward and addressing the needs of the citizens rather than dwelling on past political losses.

The NPP legal directorate member indicated that the party would give the new administration some time to settle into its role before ramping up the pressure. “From maybe six months to nine months coming, you will get a lot of heat from us. Now we have to give you the space to operate,” Amoakwa-Boadu stated. This approach aims to hold the government accountable while allowing it the opportunity to implement its plans.

Amoakwa-Boadu’s warning comes as the NPP prepares to closely monitor the actions and decisions of Mahama’s appointees. The party intends to ensure that the new administration delivers on its promises and addresses the pressing issues facing the nation. This heightened scrutiny is expected to foster transparency and accountability within the government.
