Easter: Overcoming sin is the ultimate grace of the resurrection – Mark Awe Tachega

Dr. Mark Awe Tachega, a lay Catholic preacher with The Life Ministries, has admonished Christians to overcome the life of sin through the grace of Easter.
His comments follow the global celebration of Easter, commemorating the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ.
Speaking on the holiday edition of the Big Mike Breakfast Show on Monday April 21, 2025, with guest host, Gerald Awozare, Tachega attributed Easter to a divine exchange of death to life.
He advanced that Jesus Christ took away death and ushered Christians into a new and everlasting covenant through his death and resurrection.
“Easter is a time of a divine exchange on the cross, the wages of sin introduced to man through Adam is death, but the gift of God through Jesus Christ is eternal life.”
“The Christian has come into a new covenant, so when the superior comes, the inferior always disappears.” He exhorted.
Tachega urged Christians to live up to the true meaning of Easter by transitioning from the negative aspects of their spiritual lives.
“Easter is a call to measurable grace; it is a complete transformation, a renewal, and we must be able to imbibe these things in our lives, for our families and generations to be transformed, the personal decision to reject sin and to be able to live right is the ultimate grace of the resurrection.” He emphasised.
