Kacstone Records donates Ghc 5,000 to support Upper East Regional passport office project
Currently, residents seeking passports have to travel to Tamale, Wa, or Accra, a process that involves considerable cost and time.
Kacstone Records, a music label dedicated to preserving and promoting indigenous African Traditional Music and Culture, has donated 5,000 to the Alangumgube Group in support of the ongoing construction of the regional passport office in Bolgatanga.
The donation was presented by the Managing Director of Kacstone Records, Duriyem Wenawome Aborah, during a brief ceremony held at the soon-to-be-commissioned facility.
“As a record label that seeks to promote indigenous African traditional music and culture, we also want to support regional development. This GHS 5,000 is our small contribution toward the realisation of the Bolgatanga Passport Office project,” Aborah said.
He added that the gesture reflects Kacstone Records’ broader mission of community empowerment through cultural investment and social responsibility.
Receiving the donation, Chairman of the Alangumgube Group, Gabriel Agambila, expressed heartfelt appreciation to Kacstone Records for their timely support and hinted at the potential for future partnerships.
“Once again, we want to say thank you. God richly bless you. And we know in the near future we will still collaborate, because in Alangumgube, we have a lot of musicians,” Agambila remarked.
The Upper East Regional passport office is scheduled to be officially opened on October 23, 2025, and is expected to significantly ease access to passport services for residents of the Region.
Currently, residents seeking passports have to travel to Tamale, Wa, or Accra, a process that involves considerable cost and time. The Alangumgube Group, spearheading the project, has rallied support from local assemblies, private entities, and development-oriented organisations to bring the initiative to life.
