Muslim Leader Calls for Peaceful Coexistence with People of Different Faiths
Speaking on the Big Mike Breakfast Show during the Eid celebration marking the end of Ramadan, Musah emphasized that Islam promotes harmony and respect for others.

Adama Musah, Secretary to the Kassena-Nankana West District Chief Imam, Alhaji Adams Haruna, has urged Muslims to foster peaceful coexistence with people of different religious beliefs.
Speaking on the Big Mike Breakfast Show during the Eid celebration marking the end of Ramadan, Musah emphasized that Islam promotes harmony and respect for others.
“The Prophet, peace be upon him, said, ‘If you fear Allah and the Day of Reckoning, then you should respect your neighbor,”
“This means our religion teaches us to be good to our neighbors regardless of their religious background.” Musah Stated.
Condemning acts of hostility carried out in the name of Islam, Musah asserted that such behavior contradicts the teachings of the faith.
“Fighting people from different religious sects does not align with Islamic teachings, and those who engage in such acts should be advised,” he added.
Musah also emphasized that all human beings originate from the same Creator, and therefore, there should be no justification for mistreating others based on religious differences.
He urged Muslims to align their lives with the principles of Islam, which emphasize peace, tolerance, and mutual respect.
The call by Musah for peaceful coexistence comes at a time when interfaith relations remain crucial for national and global unity, reinforcing the need for continuous efforts toward religious tolerance and understanding.
