NDC’s Scooby Abuga Doubts NPP’s Chances of Sweeping Parliamentary Seats in Upper East

Abuga said the NPP's developmental record across the country is insufficient to guarantee a resounding victory in all 16 regions.

Benjamin Biadana Abuga, a member of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) communications team in the Navrongo Central Constituency, has expressed doubts about the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) ability to win all parliamentary seats in any region.

Speaking on the Big Mike Breakfast Show on March 24, 2025, Abuga noted that the NPP’s developmental record across the country is insufficient to guarantee a resounding victory in all 16 regions.

He emphasized that the NPP has never won all constituencies in any region throughout its history.

Abuga attributed the NDC’s overwhelming victory in the Upper East Region to the party’s commitment to the region’s developmental needs. He cited the connection of the region to the national grid, construction of the Kumasi to Paga highway, and the establishment of the region’s first public university, as examples of the NDC’s major developmental projects in the region.

The NDC won all constituencies in four regions in the 2024 general elections. The regions included: Volta, Oti, Upper East, and Upper West.
