Thank You Tour: President Mahama to visit Upper East Region
The event is scheduled to be held at the Jubilee Park in the Regional Capital, Bolgatanga at 12 noon.

President John Dramani Mahama will on Thursday March 20, 2025, visit the Upper East Region as part of his nationwide “Thank You Tour”.
The President will embark on the tour to thank the chiefs and people of the region for the overwhelming endorsement the National Democratic Congress (NDC) enjoyed at the 2024 Presidential and Parliamentary Elections.
The NDC won all 15 parliamentary seats in the region and went on to garner 361,597 out of the 477,726 valid votes, to seal the victory for President Mahama, then flagbearer.
Speaking on the Big Mike Morning Show on Wednesday March 19, 2025, Jonathan Abdallah Salifu, the NDC’s Regional Communications Officer, reiterated President Mahama’s commitment to the development of region.
“The Upper East Region is one of the regions that have always stood behind the NDC and the President. He [President Mahama] has always enjoyed our support, so that tells you how the President sees us as a very important region,” he stated.
The president’s visit to the Upper East Region follows similar Thank You Tour” visits to the Volta, Western and Central Regions.
The region’s event is scheduled to take place at the Jubilee Park in the regional capital, Bolgatanga, at 12 noon.
The event is expected to draw a large gathering, including members of parliament, government appointees, traditional and religious leaders, party executives, supporters and the general public.
