2026 budget a game changer that will reset and reshape Ghana for good — Alhassan Suwaidu
According to him, flagship initiatives such as the Nkoko Nkitinkiti and other programmes signal a major turning point in the country’s development trajectory.
The Deputy Communications Officer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) for the Navrongo Central Constituency, Alhassan Suwaidu Abubakar, has described the 2026 Budget as a transformative blueprint that will reset and reshape Ghana for good.
According to him, flagship initiatives such as the Nkoko Nkitinkiti and other programmes signal a major turning point in the country’s development trajectory.
Speaking on the Big Mike Breakfast Show on Friday November 21, Suwaidu said the Ghanaian economy has witnessed steady improvement under the NDC administration, adding that the 2026 budget projections will further enhance livelihoods across the country.
“The Nkoko Nkitinkiti project is going to be a game changer that will create jobs for many young people. The Farmer Service Centre initiative will also transform the agricultural sector and impact more lives,” he said.
Touching on the health sector, Suwaidu highlighted the Mahama Cares Programme and the government’s commitment to complete 10 Agenda 111 projects initiated under the previous administration.
“In the health sector, we are going to cater for lives through the Mahama Cares Programme and also complete 10 Agenda 111 projects started by the NPP. All these show that Ghana is on the right course with the 2026 budget.”
Suwaidu also took a swipe at the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP), arguing that they lack the moral authority to critique the budget, given the hardships Ghanaians faced during their tenure.
“Members of the NPP do not even have the moral right to speak on issues in this country because they caused so much hardship during their tenure.” He said.
