Paga Youth Movement hails Godwin Asediba for winning GJA P.A.V Ansah Journalist of the Year

The investigative reporter, filmmaker and news anchor was crowed the 2024 Journalist of the Year at  the 29th GJA Awards in November.

The Paga Youth Movement, PAYOM, has extended heartful congratulations to award-winning journalist and native of the Kassena-Nankana West District, Godwin Asediba, for being adjudged the GJA P.A.V. Ansah Journalist of the Year 2024.

The investigative reporter, filmmaker and news anchor was crowed the 2024 Journalist of the Year at  the 29th GJA Awards in November.

In a statement signed by its President, Duriyem Wenawome Aborah, the Movement said Asediba’s achievement brings great pride to the people of Kassena-Nankana West and the Upper East Region.

“This remarkable achievement brings great pride to the people of Kassena Nankana West District. Asediba’s consistent excellence in Journalism continues to shine a positive light on our community and serves as an inspiration to many young people who aspire to impact society through media and communication” The statement reads.

PAYOM praised his dedication, professionalism, and integrity, adding that his work continues to inspire many young people who hope to make an impact through media and communication.

The Movement encouraged him to remain committed to truth and excellence, noting that his success is a testament to hard work and perseverance.

“POYAM commends his dedication, professionalism, and integrity in storytelling, urging him not to relent in his pursuit of truth and excellence.”

PAYOM urging Asediba to continue projecting the district positively and inspiring the youth of Kassena-Nankana West and beyond.

In August this year, Godwin Asediba also won the 2025 BBC News Komla Dumor Award, he is currently on internship with the BBC in London as part of the Komla Dumor award.
