Kpalinsa Citizens Association holds annual get-together to review community development
The community members also called for the completion of the Kpalinsa Primary School project to enhance teaching and learning for students in the area.
The Wiaga Kpalinsa Citizens Association in the Builsa North Municipality has held its annual get-together aimed at reviewing the achievements and challenges of the community and identifying ways to address pressing development concerns.
The gathering brought together community members, opinion leaders, and residents of the Kpalinsa Electoral Area to reflect on progress made over the past year and to deliberate on strategies to improve living conditions in the area.
During the meeting on Friday Mach 13, 2026 at the Kpalinsa CHPS Compound, the residents expressed concern about a number of stalled and incomplete development projects affecting the community. They particularly appealed to the government and relevant authorities to ensure the full completion of the Kpalinsa Community-based Health Planning and Services (CHPS) compound to improve access to healthcare.
The community members also called for the completion of the Kpalinsa Primary School project to enhance teaching and learning for students in the area.
In addition, the residents appealed for the rehabilitation of the road from Wiaga through to Tankansa, noting that the poor condition of the road continues to affect transportation, trade, and access to essential services.
Another major concern raised at the meeting was the need for the extension of electricity to all three communities within the Kpalinsa Electoral Area to support socio-economic activities and improve the standard of living of residents.
Members of the association expressed optimism that with collaboration between the community, government, and development partners, the challenges facing the area can be addressed to accelerate development.
