Chiana-Paga MP donates 100 streetlights to East Zone of Kassena-Nankana West District

The initiative, which has already reached multiple zones in the constituency, is expected to boost security, improve visibility at night, and reduce road accidents across beneficiary communities.

The Member of Parliament for the Chiana-Paga Constituency, Nikyema Billa Alamzy, has donated 100 streetlights to communities in the East Zone of the Kassena-Nankana West District as part of efforts to improve safety and local infrastructure.

This was disclosed in a public post by the MP’s Personal Assistant, Hakim Nurudeen.

The items were presented on behalf of the MP on Sunday, April 12, 2026, and form part of a broader initiative to enhance street lighting across the constituency.

According to Nurudeen, similar distributions had earlier been made to the West and North Zones, bringing the total number of streetlights supplied under the initiative to 300, excluding previous provisions.

The intervention is expected to significantly improve night-time visibility, enhance security, and reduce road accidents in beneficiary communities.

He added that party executives were present to receive the items on behalf of the communities and will oversee the installation process to ensure the streetlights are properly mounted and serve their intended purpose.
