OSP outlines six key court cases for April 2026

The Special Prosecutor says the cases, spanning procurement, contract disputes, and alleged corruption-related offences, form part of efforts to intensify accountability and anti-corruption enforcement in the country.

The Office of the Special Prosecutor (OSP) has announced a lineup of major court cases scheduled for hearing in April 2026, signaling an active month in its ongoing anti-corruption drive.

In a social media update issued on April 13, 2026, the Office disclosed that six high-profile cases will be taken to court across multiple dates within the month, with additional fresh cases expected to be filed soon.

According to the OSP, three separate court sessions will be held on April 15, followed by two more hearings on April 23. The month’s proceedings will conclude with a final session on April 27.

The cases slated for hearing include:

The Republic versus Mustapha Abdul-Hamid (Suit No. CR/0374/2026), described as an NPA-related case, scheduled for April 15.

The Republic versus Adjenim Boateng Adjei (Suit No. CR/0257/2025), involving a contract for sale dispute, also set for April 15.

The Republic versus Issah Seidu and three others (Suit No. CR/0513/2025), linked to a rice procurement scandal, to be heard on April 15.

The Republic versus Sumaila Abdul-Rahman and three others, an NDA-related case, scheduled for April 23.

The Republic versus Kenneth Nana Yaw Ofori-Atta and seven others (Suit No. CR/0106/2026), connected to the SML case, also set for April 23.

The Republic versus Charles Bissue and two others (Suit No. CR/0559/2025), involving alleged galamsey-related fraud, to be heard on April 27.

The OSP emphasized its commitment to pursuing accountability through the courts, as it continues to intensify efforts to address corruption and related offences in the country.
