A non-profit organisation, Visionary Buluk, operating in the Builsa Traditional Area, has donated marker boards and 1,200 markers to Ayieta Junior High School to enhance teaching and learning.

The organisation also installed the marker boards in four classrooms, a move aimed at improving classroom delivery and creating a more conducive learning environment for both teachers and students.

Presenting the items, the Chief Executive Officer of Visionary Buluk, Ernest Alaazy, expressed appreciation to the Ghana Education Service and the staff of the school for their support towards the organisation’s free extra classes programme for Senior High School students.

He encouraged students to take their education seriously and assured them of continued support from parents and other stakeholders.

The Municipal Director of Education, Gariba Johnson, commended Visionary Buluk for the initiative and called on other individuals and organisations to contribute to the development of education in the area.

The Assistant Headteacher of Ayieta JHS, Baba Salifu, also expressed gratitude for the donation and assured that the items would be properly maintained and used for their intended purpose.

Meanwhile, Visionary Buluk has successfully concluded its free extra classes programme for Senior High School students.

The seven-week programme, which ran from March 16 to May 1, 2026, benefited more than 120 students from Sandema and surrounding communities.

At a brief closing ceremony, Alaazy praised volunteer teachers for their dedication and commitment, urging students to remain disciplined and focused on their academic pursuits.

He further cautioned them against negative behaviours such as substance abuse and encouraged them to take advantage of future academic opportunities.

Students who benefited from the programme expressed appreciation to the organisation, noting that the initiative significantly improved their understanding of challenging subjects.
