A former parliamentary candidate of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in Builsa North, Simon Awog-Badek, has donated an undisclosed amount of money to the party’s executives to support the party’s upcoming branch elections in the constituency.

The donation was presented on Wednesday May 13, to the NDC Constituency Chairman, James Achaab, and the Constituency Secretary, Emmanuel Ayamboliba, to assist the party’s 702 branch executives across the constituency.

According to Awog-Badek, the funds are intended to facilitate the purchase of online election forms and the payment of the required dues to enable branch executives to participate fully in the upcoming internal elections.

He noted that the gesture reflects his commitment to strengthening democratic processes at the grassroots level within the party.

Awog-Badek also called on the constituency elections directorate to ensure openness, fairness, and transparency throughout the electoral process, stressing that accountability is key to maintaining unity and harmony among party members before, during, and after the elections.

He further commended branch and constituency executives for their dedication and hard work during the 2024 general election campaign.

According to him, their collective efforts contributed significantly to the election of James Agalga as Member of Parliament for Builsa North and the re-election of John Dramani Mahama.

Awog-Badek additionally urged party members and residents to support the development agenda of the MP for the area, emphasising that collaboration and unity among stakeholders remain essential for the progress of the constituency.
