Former NPP Secretary calls on party to unite for victory in 2028
Former NPP Navrongo Central Secretary Moses Amoah has urged party members to set aside internal divisions, support the new regional leadership and work collectively to reclaim power in the 2028 elections.
Former NPP Secretary for the Navrongo Central Constituency, Moses Amoah, has called on members of the party to unite and close their ranks ahead of the 2028 general elections.
Speaking on the Big Mike Breakfast Show on Tuesday, August 25, Amoah acknowledged the internal divisions that have affected the party but urged the new leadership to work with all stakeholders to rebuild the party and improve its chances of returning to power.
He said the NPP must put aside individual interests and work collectively towards a common goal of winning the 2028 elections.
“Let’s close our ranks. Let’s come together and let’s work hard to ensure that we annex power come 2028,” he said.
Amoah expressed confidence in the newly elected NPP Upper East Regional executives, describing them as experienced and capable of leading the party into the next election cycle.
He urged party members, including the grassroots, youth, women and other stakeholders, to support the new executives and contribute to efforts to strengthen the party.
Turning his attention to the Navrongo Central Constituency, Amoah said the NPP faces a difficult but achievable task of reclaiming the parliamentary seat in the 2028 elections.
He maintained that the party’s prospects would depend on hard work, competent leadership, a strong parliamentary candidate and a convincing message capable of winning back voters.
Amoah also urged the NPP to use the period leading to the 2028 elections to hold the governing NDC accountable while presenting the party as a credible alternative to the electorate.
