Communication under my leadership will be formidable – NDC Communications Officer

Suwaidu Alhassan pledges to build a well-trained NDC communications team in Navrongo Central, with targeted training and documentation of the party’s achievements to improve public engagement.

The newly elected Communications Officer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the Navrongo Central Constituency, Suwaidu Alhassan, says he is committed to transforming the party’s communications unit into a formidable team capable of effectively communicating its message to residents.

He said the transformation would focus on building a strong and well-equipped team to propagate the message of the party and the government’s Resetting Agenda.

Speaking on the Big Mike Breakfast Show on Tuesday October 27, Alhassan said he was committed to fulfilling the promises he made during the constituency elections.

“I campaigned on forming a formidable team that will be a strong force to reckon with and bring a paradigm shift in the communications sphere,” he said.

He explained that his vision was to attract more communicators into the party and equip them with the necessary skills and knowledge to communicate effectively.

Alhassan added that the communications unit would be open to all capable party members, including branch communications officers, to broaden its reach and promote the party’s interests.

He said plans were underway to organise targeted training programmes for radio communicators, social media communicators and party members who contribute to discussions on radio programmes.

According to him, the training sessions would help participants improve their communication skills and remain relevant in their respective roles.

“We’ll take them through the history and good works of the party from 1992 and document the works of the party in the constituency for easy reference,” he said.

Alhassan noted that some of the achievements of the Member of Parliament and the party in the constituency had not been adequately communicated to residents, stressing that effective communication was essential to advancing the party’s electoral fortunes.

He commended party members for the peaceful conduct of the constituency elections and urged unsuccessful candidates and their supporters to unite behind the newly elected executives to advance the party’s progress.

He also expressed gratitude to the delegates for entrusting him and the other executives with leadership responsibilities, adding that their continued support would be crucial to the success of the communications unit and the party as a whole.
