NDC’s Fawzia Abagnamah supports single mother of four with wheelchair

Fawzia Yakubu Abagnamah has donated a wheelchair to Abontoliya Talata, a paralysed single mother of four from Sherigu Nyokokor, to improve her mobility and ease daily activities.

The incumbent National Democratic Congress (NDC) Women’s Organizer for the Upper East Region, Fawzia Yakubu Abagnamah, has donated a wheelchair to a single mother of four who has been paralysed for more than two decades.

The beneficiary, Abontoliya Talata, is from the Sherigu Nyokokor community in the Bolgatanga Municipality.

The donation followed an appeal brought to Madam Fawzia’s attention during her campaign visit to the community as she seeks re-election as the regional Women’s Organizer.

Talata reportedly became paralysed after falling ill more than 20 years ago, leaving her with severe mobility challenges and confined to a room for several years.

Her condition had made movement and the pursuit of her daily livelihood increasingly difficult, compounding the challenges of raising her four children as a single mother.

The wheelchair is expected to ease her movement and improve her ability to carry out daily activities.

The wheelchair is will support her mobility.

Receiving the donation, Talata expressed gratitude to Madam Fawzia for responding to her plight and providing the mobility aid.

She prayed for God’s blessings upon the NDC Women’s Organizer and wished her success in the upcoming regional elections.

Talata also expressed the hope that Madam Fawzia would retain her position to enable her to continue supporting vulnerable and disadvantaged people in society.
