Bulsa Traditional Council mourns victims of tragic helicopter crash
In a statement signed by the Paramount Chief, Nab Azagsuk Azantilow II, the Council extended its heartfelt condolences to President John Dramani Mahama, the Government of Ghana, and the National Democratic Congress (NDC), under whose banner some of the victims served.

The Bulsa Traditional Council has expressed profound sorrow following the tragic helicopter crash that claimed the lives of two cabinet ministers and six other prominent Ghanaians, describing it as a devastating loss not only to the government but to the entire nation.
In a statement signed by the Paramount Chief, Nab Azagsuk Azantilow II, the Council extended its heartfelt condolences to President John Dramani Mahama, the Government of Ghana, and the National Democratic Congress (NDC), under whose banner some of the victims served.
“The departed souls were patriots who dedicated their lives to the service of Ghana. Their absence will be deeply felt across every region, and their legacies remembered with reverence and pride,” the statement read.
The Council paid special tribute to Squadron Leader Peter Abaafemi Anala, one of the victims of the crash, describing him as an illustrious son of the Builsa land. The Traditional Council said his passing was not only a local loss but a national tragedy that touches every Ghanaian.
“As a Traditional Council, we join the rest of the country in mourning in the light that Squadron Leader Peter Abaafemi Anala is our illustrious son and we also stand in solidarity with all affected by this national calamity,” the statement continued.
The traditional authorit acknowledged the pain being endured by the bereaved families and encouraged them to take solace in the selfless service their loved ones rendered to the country.
“Our thoughts and prayers are especially with the bereaved families, who must now bear the burden of this loss with courage. We encourage them to take solace in the noble service their loved ones rendered to mother Ghana.”
The Builsa Traditional Council prayed for peaceful rest for the departed and called for national unity in the face of the tragedy, urging Ghanaians to stand together in hope and resilience.
