Dr Dominic Ayine engages Sports Minister over completion of Bolgatanga East Agric Park

Dr Dominic Ayine says he is engaging Sports Minister Kofi Adams to secure support for completing the unfinished Agric Park project in Bolgatanga East.

The Member of Parliament for Bolgatanga East and Minister for Attorney General and Justice, Dr Dominic Ayine, has disclosed that he is in talks with the Minister for Sports and Recreation, Kofi Adams to help complete the Agric Park project in the constituency.

The project, which was initiated by the previous government under the Social Cohesion (SOCO) project ahead of the 2024 general election, remains incomplete.

Dr Ayine alleged that the project was “hijacked” by the then New Patriotic Party (NPP) parliamentary candidate, Silas Amiah, a claim that has not been independently verified.

The MP said his discussions with the Sports and Recreation Minister were aimed at securing the necessary intervention to complete the facility and provide another sporting venue for the people of Bolgatanga East.

Meanwhile, Dr Ayine has completed the construction of an Astro Turf at the Catholic Social Centre in Zuarungu, which is awaiting commissioning.

He expressed hope that the completion of the Agric Park project would further expand sporting infrastructure in the constituency and create additional opportunities for sporting activities and talent development.

Dr Ayine made these remarks while addressing constituents at the Bolgatanga East Constituency Executive Elections on Saturday, October 24, 2026.

The proposed intervention, if successful, could provide a boost to sports development in the constituency, particularly by increasing access to sporting facilities for young people and local football clubs
