The Member of Parliament for the Gushegu Constituency in the Northern Region, Alhassan Tampuli, has donated five motorbikes each to the Ghana Education Service (GES) and Ghana Health Service (GHS) municipal directorates in Gushegu to enhance service delivery.
The presentation, which took place at the Gushegu Community Center on Wednesday, April 29, forms part of efforts by the MP to strengthen monitoring and supervision activities within the education and health sectors across the constituency.
In a statement shared on his Facebook page, the MP explained that the gesture was motivated by the need to support frontline workers who continue to serve under challenging conditions.
“It’s important that we extend our profound gratitude to the leadership and staff of both GES and the GHS and their field officers… We appreciate your continued dedication and selflessness.” He stated.

Tampuli acknowledged the geographical challenges within the constituency, noting that its vast land size makes routine monitoring difficult for officials. He emphasized that the provision of motorbikes would ease transportation challenges and improve outreach to remote communities.
“We owe you a duty to facilitate your efforts as you engage in your monitoring and supervision assignments.” He added.
Beyond the motorbikes, the MP also donated 1,225 mathematical sets to the Municipal Directorate of GES for onward distribution to candidates preparing to sit for the Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE).
He expressed optimism that the items would support the candidates in their final examinations, wishing them success.
Receiving the items on behalf of their respective institutions, the Municipal Directors of GES and GHS, Lawrence Iddrisu and George Abraham, expressed appreciation for the timely intervention and assured the MP of proper maintenance of the motorbikes to ensure their long-term use.
