Road users cautioned against indiscipline ahead of Easter

Road users in the Upper East Region have been cautioned against indiscipline on the roads ahead of the Easter festivities.

The Easter celebrations begin today, Good Friday, April 18, 2025 and will run through to Easter Monday, April 21.

John Quarshie, Public Relations Officer of the Upper East Regional Office of the National Road Safety Authority (NRSA), called for strict road safety adherence during the Easter break.

In an exclusive interview with Mike FM, Quarshie lamented the rate of indiscipline among road users during festive seasons.

He urged road users, especially motorists, to abide by speed limits and road regulations during the season.

“Be responsible on the roads, follow the speed limits, and make good use of helmets.” He advised.

The NRSA recently released its 2025 first-quarter provisional report on road crashes in the Upper East Region, which showed 37 reported cases involving 62 vehicles, resulting in 30 deaths and 74 injuries.
