Bryan Acheampong’s campaign team rallies NPP delegates ahead of 2028 Primaries
This call comes as internal campaign activities intensify within the NPP ahead of the January 31 Presidential primaries.
Members of the campaign team of Dr. Bryan Acheampong in the Upper East Region have called on delegates of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) to support Dr. Acheampong’s bid to become the party’s Presidential Candidate for the 2028 general election.
This call comes as internal campaign activities intensify within the NPP ahead of the January 31 Presidential primaries.
Regional Communications Director of the campaign team, Patrick Mogre Dinaa, said Dr. Acheampong’s leadership represents a renewed vision that will focus on grassroots empowerment, party unity, and strategic reorganization to rebuild the NPP ahead of the next election.
“For us to be able to win election 2028, we need a unifier, we need a bold leader. And that bold leader is Dr Brayn, he has intimated that he is going to make sure that the base is resourced.”
“So in our campaign at the grassroots level, (0:19) we are saying that when you have well-resourced polling station executives, they will do the job (0:24) very well for you.” Dinaa said.
He further attributed the party’s loss in the last general election to what he described as limited support from certain party appointees closely aligned with former Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia.
“One thing that we lost power in 2024 was because of the neglect of the grassroots. A lot of the people or appointees closed their doors behind these people; the same appointees are the same people following Dr Mahamudu Bawumia,”
“You think that if I am a delegate, and once that I was closed a door at, and such people come to approach me to vote for Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, you think I’ll do so?” Dinaa questioned
He emphasized that Dr. Acheampong has demonstrated strong leadership qualities both in government and within the party, and is capable of bringing the NPP back to power in 2028.
The Bryan Acheampong Campaign Team in the Upper East Region says it will continue to engage delegates across constituencies to share the vision and policies of Dr. Acheampong.
