First applicant receives passport at newly commissioned Upper East Regional office
Proudly holding his newly acquired passport, Apusiga said he was already looking forward to the opportunities it could bring.
Climate Action advocate, Dennis Apusiga, the man who walked from Bolgatanga to Accra has become one of the first residents to receive a biometric passport from the newly commissioned Upper East Passport Office, marking what he described as a smooth and efficient experience.
Sharing his excitement, Apusiga said he wasted no time in applying online and got his passport delivered to him at the Upper East passport office.
“I went online, filled the form, paid the required amount and was called to come to the Upper East Regional Passport Office,” he recounted.
He expressed satisfaction with the speed and professionalism in the process.
“When I came, I went through my biometrics, they took my fingerprint, signature, and picture. A few days later, I received my passport.”
Proudly holding his newly acquired passport, Apusiga said he was already looking forward to the opportunities it could bring.
“Hopefully, with this passport, I can travel maybe to the U.S., Mexico, or Canada to watch the Black Stars play and represent my community abroad,” he added with a smile.
The new regional passport office will bring to residents in the Upper East Region, who previously had to travel long distances to access passport services, convenience.
