A total of 1,128 candidates are expected to sit for this year’s Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) in the Builsa North Municipality, the municipal examination officer Joseph Abinbana has disclosed.
According to the officer, the figure comprises 577 boys and 571 girls who will write the examination across four designated centers within the municipality.
He indicated that all necessary arrangements have been put in place to ensure a smooth and incident-free examination process, urging candidates to remain focused and confident as they take this important step in their academic journey.
The Municipal Examination Officer also cautioned both students and invigilators to desist from any form of examination malpractice, stressing that strict measures have been instituted to deal with offenders.
At the regional level, a total of 22,326 candidates are expected to sit for the examination in the Upper East Region, with the exams taking place across 95 centers.
The BECE remains a crucial examination in Ghana’s education system, as it determines students’ progression to senior high school.
