Ayinbisa, who currently serves in the position in an appointed capacity, is now seeking election following the NPP’s amendment of its constitution to allow for the election of communications directors at all levels.

Peter Ayamga Ayinbisa, the Upper East Regional Communications Director of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), says he has gathered enough experience to lead the party’s communications front into the next election as the party’s elected Communications Director.

Ayinbisa, who currently serves in the position in an appointed capacity, is now seeking election following the NPP’s amendment of its constitution to allow for the election of communications directors at all levels.

Speaking on the Big Mike Breakfast Show on Friday November 7, the former Bongo DCE stated that his wealth of experience within the party structure is needed in the Communications Director’s role ahead of the next election.

He emphasized the need to retain him in the position, citing his “remarkable” performance over the past three and a half years.

“This particular moment is the moment for still maintain. Because I’ve worked with them for the last three and a half years. They know that I’m an honest person. I’m a sincere person. I’m a hardworking person.”

“Having come from the background of a constituency chairman to become a DC, and becoming a parliamentary candidate, the experience that I’ve gathered over the period of time should not be thrown away.”

Ayinbisa noted that during his tenure as Communications Director, he had significantly increased the number of party communicators in the region.

“During my regime, I have committed myself to serving the party communications. I’ve done that with sincerity. There were about 30-something people who were communicating for the party. Today, as we talk, I can boast of about 60 young men and women who are communicating for this party.”

He also promised that, if elected, the welfare of party communicators would be his top priority, describing it as an area that had not been properly addressed in the past.

“I’ve been your man. I’ve served with honesty and sincerity. And I want you to continue to support me, give me that mandate. I worked as an appointee. Now I want you to give me that mandate as an elected officer.”
