I have big plans for Upper East – Kennedy Agyapong

Agyapong, currently on a nationwide campaign tour to secure the endorsement of party delegates, emphasized that the region’s vast and fertile farmlands make it ideal for extensive cultivation of crops such as millet and other staples.

New Patriotic Party (NPP) flagbearer aspirant, Kennedy Ohene Agyapong, has outlined what he describes as “big plans” for the Upper East Region, promising to spearhead major agricultural and industrial initiatives aimed at improving the lives of residents.

Speaking on Bolgatanga-based Dreamz FM, Agyapong said his vision for the region centers on large-scale food crop production and processing, which he believes will stimulate growth and create sustainable jobs.

“We need about three to four million acres to cultivate different things (crops) and Upper East is no different. You have suitable lands for that production,” he stated.

Agyapong, currently on a nationwide campaign tour to secure the endorsement of party delegates, emphasized that the region’s vast and fertile farmlands make it ideal for extensive cultivation of crops such as millet and other staples.

According to him, strategic investment in agriculture would not only enhance food security but also lay the foundation for job creation, which is a key pillar of his presidential vision.

In the Upper East Region, Agyapong has urged delegates to vote for him to bring his big plans for the region, including improving food crop production and processing, to reality.

“I’m begging you, the delegates that are listening, to give me the opportunity to become president and create jobs,” he appealed.

Agyapong further stated that his business experience makes him best positioned to lead Ghana toward an era of productivity-driven development.
