The Member of Parliament for the Bolgatanga Central Constituency, Isaac Adongo, has honoured his financial commitments to participating teams and organisers of the 18th edition of the Ramadan Soccer Fiesta tournament.
Ahead of the competition, Adongo pledged comprehensive support for the annual community-based football event. This included an appearance fee of GH¢1,000 for each of the 16 participating communities, amounting to GH¢16,000.
He also committed GH¢4,000 to support officiating officials, alongside prize money of GH¢2,000 for the champions and GH¢1,000 for the first runner-up.
In addition, the MP had earlier provided GH¢10,000 towards the organisation of the tournament and donated four sets of jerseys to the semi-finalist teams. In total, his contributions to the event amounted to GH¢33,000.
Adongo’s association with the Ramadan Soccer Fiesta predates his tenure in Parliament. A former football enthusiast, he has consistently highlighted the role of sports in promoting unity, peace and social cohesion, key elements he believes are critical to community development.

As part of his engagement, the MP also visited an injured player from the D-Line team, identified as Musah, who sustained a leg injury during a final group-stage match against Yagzore.
He visited the player at his family home in Bolgatanga to offer support and encouragement.
Representatives of the participating communities expressed appreciation to Adongo for his sustained commitment to the tournament and its impact on youth development in the area.
