Church of Pentecost Women’s Ministry renovates Navrongo District Magistrate Court to enhance its operations.

PIWC Navrongo Women Repaint, Clean District Court to Support Justice Delivery

The Women’s Ministry of the Church of Pentecost, PIWC Navrongo Central Assembly, has renovated and cleaned the Navrongo District Magistrate Court as part of activities marking this year’s National Women’s Ministry Celebration Week.

The exercise, carried out on Saturday, May 9, saw dozens of women from the church troop to the court premises to undertake a massive clean-up exercise and repaint the entire court structure to improve its appearance and enhance its operations.

The women swept and cleaned the court premises while the ministry fully financed the repainting of the building to give the facility a facelift.

Speaking in an interview with Mike FM, the Women’s Ministry Leader, Deaconess Cynthia Akwodoba, said the initiative formed part of the church’s week-long national celebration aimed at impacting society positively.

“Today we are here to clean the court premises and repaint the entire building to improve the environment,” she said.

She noted that women deserve to be celebrated because they were created by God to serve as helpers and agents of transformation in society.

Assistant Women’s Ministry Leader, Delphina Demara Apewe, explained that the initiative was inspired by the desire of women to contribute meaningfully to society.

“Women are supposed to add beauty wherever they find themselves, and that is why we decided to clean up and repaint the whole building,” she stated.

According to her, the activity aligns with the theme for this year’s celebration, “Unleashed to go into the world to transform society,” which challenges women to actively contribute to societal development and transformation.

She stressed that women remain the backbone of societal transformation and therefore need the necessary support and encouragement to fulfil that responsibility effectively.

“If you see a judge, it is because a woman has been on her knees praying for that child. If you see a prison officer or any responsible person in society, it means a woman has positively impacted that life,” she added.

A former national executive member of the Women’s Ministry, Deaconess Gladys Atujona, said Christ has elevated women from cultural limitations and empowered them to make meaningful impact in society.

She encouraged women to recognise their value in Christ and seek God’s guidance in addressing challenges confronting their families and communities.

“Women should understand that when we cry out to God, He listens and provides answers that solve our daily problems. We must rise and take our rightful place in Christ,” she advised.

Also speaking during the exercise, Deacon David Atujona, who joined other men to support the women during the activity, urged men to support women in initiatives that promote community development.

“Men should support women in carrying out activities and undertakings that bring positive impact to humanity, and that is why we are here to support this initiative which will benefit the entire municipality,” he said.
