Gabriel Katagayire declares bid for NDC Navrongo Central Deputy Constituency Secretary position

A member of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the Navrongo Central Constituency, Gabriel Nabare Katagayire, has declared his intention to contest for the position of Deputy Constituency Secretary in the party’s upcoming constituency elections.

Katagayire, who is a member of the Nyangua Electoral Area and describes himself as the first registered member of his branch, said his decision is driven by his commitment to strengthening the party’s structures and advancing its ideals of development, social justice and inclusive governance.

In a declaration announcing his candidature, he noted that he has served the party in various capacities and remains dedicated to building a stronger NDC from the branch level to the national level.

He pledged that, if elected, he would work closely with the Constituency Secretary to improve record-keeping, communication and the organisation of party activities. He also promised to strengthen branch and polling station structures through regular engagement, training and mobilisation of members.

Katagayire further pledged to promote unity and discipline within the constituency to ensure the party remains cohesive as it prepares for the 2028 general elections.

He assured delegates that he would serve with humility, transparency and loyalty, stressing that his decision to contest is motivated by a desire to contribute his time, energy and ideas towards building a stronger NDC in the constituency rather than pursuing personal interests.

The aspiring Deputy Constituency Secretary appealed to delegates, branch executives and other stakeholders to support his bid, expressing confidence that a united party would be better positioned to retain and increase its electoral fortunes while contributing to the development of the Navrongo Central Constituency.
