Builsa Traditional Council congratulates James Agalga on his elevation to Majority Leader and urges him to serve with humility, integrity and commitment to the development of Builsa North and Ghana.
The Builsa Traditional Council has congratulated the Member of Parliament for Builsa North, James Agalga, on his appointment as majority leader and leader of government business in parliament.
In a statement dated August 28, and issued from Sandema in the Builsa North District, the Council, under the leadership of Nab Azagsuk Azantinlow II, described the appointment as a reflection of the confidence reposed in Agalga by his party and the nation.
The Council said it was particularly gratified that “one of their own” now occupies what it described as an eminent position at the heart of the country’s governance.
It assured the newly appointed majority leader of its blessings, goodwill and collective support as he takes on the new responsibility, adding that it would continue to offer him counsel, prayers and support in his endeavours.
However, the Council urged Agalga to view his elevation as a sacred duty and work with humility, diligence and integrity to justify the trust placed in him by the National Democratic Congress (NDC) and the people of Ghana.
It further called on him to ensure that his new position, together with his role as Member of Parliament for Builsa North, translates into tangible and meaningful results for the people of Buluk.
According to the Council, his tenure should be defined by service, integrity and a steadfast commitment to the development of the Builsa North constituency and Ghana as a whole.
The Council wished Agalga a fruitful tenure and prayed that the wisdom of their forebears would guide him in the discharge of his responsibilities.
