C.K.T- NUGS holds Business and Entrepreneurial Summit

The summit themed, "Promoting Youth Entrepreneurship through Collaboration and Education."

The C. K Tedam University of Technology and Applied Sciences (CKT-UTAS) Chapter of the National Union of Ghana Students (NUGS) has held a one day Business and Entrepreneurial Skills summit dubbed: “Alumni Connect/Business Summit”.

The summit themed, “Promoting Youth Entrepreneurship through Collaboration and Education” was geared towards horning the entrepreneurial skills of students and alumni of the University Community.

Held at the University Campus in Navrongo on Saturday March 15, 2025, the summit provided a platform where seasoned entrepreneurs shared their wide range of experience in business and entrepreneurship with audience.

Delivering his keynote address, the Guest Speaker for the summit and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of B.C Bencyn LTD, Benjamin Anyana, advised participants to cultivate the habit of saving and investing in their future.

“So don’t look far away; the resources you need for investment are within you. You only need to open your mind”,

“It is not easy; there are a lot of frustrations, but the discipline to go by what it takes to achieve your goals is what is important,” he advised.

For his part, the Executive Director for Rise-Ghana, Awal Ahmed, admonished participants to be broad-minded and continually update themselves on issues of relevance, while leveraging on good network and collaboration for entrepreneurial success.

“As young people you must know something about everything. Every topic that is trending, know something about it. But choose one topic and know everything about it inside out, so that they will say as for this area, nobody can beat you”,

“And you can do that by dedicating just one hour a day if you can dedicate 1 hour of your time for a subject for a day for three years, there is nothing in that area that you will not know. “he suggested.

Samuel Abukari Tiyumba, President of CKT-UTAS NUGS expressed his excitement about the success of the program saying, the program will enhance the business and entrepreneurial skills of participants.

Participants at the end of the program shared their experience on the summit, describing it as ” an eye-opener”.
