Chiana-Paga NDC communications unit to intensify grassroots engagement, says Communications Officer

Apostle Stephen Avoyem says the Chiana-Paga NDC Communications Unit will strengthen community engagement and train communicators to share information about government initiatives and constituency development projects.

The Communications Officer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the Chiana-Paga Constituency, Apostle Stephen Avoyem says the party’s communications unit will prioritise grassroots engagement and intensify efforts to communicate the achievements of the NDC government to residents.

Speaking on the Big Mike Breakfast Show on Friday October 30, Apostle Avoyem said the unit would adopt a direct engagement approach to ensure residents are adequately informed about the government’s interventions and development initiatives in the constituency.

He said the strategy would include organising training sessions for party communicators to equip them with the requisite skills to effectively communicate the party’s activities through the media and at the community level.

“Basically, the work is on the ground and we should be able to give them training to properly disseminate information at the community level,” he stated.

Apostle Avoyem said the communications unit would also focus on highlighting the interventions and development projects undertaken through the Member of Parliament and the District Chief Executive, with the aim of ensuring that residents are aware of the government’s activities in the constituency.

He expressed confidence in the performance of the NDC government in the area, citing interventions in key sectors, including education, health and agriculture.

“NDC, when it comes to our constituency, we are doing our best,” he said.

He further highlighted some national government initiatives, including the Feed Ghana Programme, Free Primary Healthcare initiative, the No Fees Stress policy, District Economy Markets and the District Road Improvement Programme, as measures intended to improve the lives of Ghanaians, including residents of the Chiana-Paga Constituency.

According to him, although some of the initiatives are still at various stages of implementation, they are expected to deliver significant benefits when fully rolled out.

He consequently called on residents to support the government in its efforts to deliver governance that responds to their needs and development aspirations.
