A coronation match between Daborin Community in the Bolgatanga East District and Tanzui Community, champions of the 2025 Frafra Unity Tournament in Bolga Central, was played on Sunday, 25th January 2026, at the Zuarungu Senior High School Park.
The match ended in a 1–1 draw, officially confirming Daborin Community as champions of the tournament.
The 2025 Bolga East Football Union Tournament featured 22 communities drawn from the district. The decisive match between Daborin Community (United) and Yarigabisi Community ended abruptly due to a misunderstanding.
At the time of stoppage, Daborin Community was leading 1–0 in the 86th minute. Following a consensus agreement between the two communities, Daborin Community was declared the winner of the tournament.
The Chairman of the closing ceremony, Dr. Lawrence Atongo, thanked the organizers for their excellent work. He expressed his heartfelt gratitude to the teams for their cordial understanding and urged the youth to always do the right thing and promote togetherness.
The winners took home a trophy, a set of jerseys, a football, and GHC 1,000.00. The first runner-up, Yarigabisi Community, received a set of jerseys, a football, and GHC 800.00.
Mandela Azeko of Daborin community was adjudged Best Player of the Tournament. Silas Solomon of Daborin United was named Best Goalkeeper, while Apenore Williams of Gambibgo Community emerged as the Top Scorer with four goals.
