Dickson Adiali cites collective party efforts in NDC Chiana-Paga re-election bid
Spokesperson highlights grassroots unity, education, healthcare and social support initiatives under Adiali’s leadership
The Chiana-Paga Constituency National Democratic Congress NDC Chairman, Dickson Adiali, is seeking re-election on the strength of what his campaign describes as a period of strengthened grassroots unity and collective party-led initiatives across the constituency.
Adiali’s spokesperson, Raymond Adiali said the chairman had since assuming office in 2022, worked closely with other constituency executives, the Member of Parliament and key party stakeholders to strengthen the party’s structures and deepen engagement with members at the grassroots.
Speaking on the Big Mike Breakfast Show on Thursday, October 1, Adiali said the leadership the chairman and the collective efforts of other key party stakeholders had helped bring together party elders, branch executives and members from the various zones of the constituency.
He said the leadership had also worked to make the party more responsive to the needs of its grassroots members and communities.
“Now when it comes to Chiana-Paga, we have one NDC, one political party, and everybody is on board,” he said.
According to Adiali, the improved collaboration within the party had created an environment for the constituency to undertake initiatives in education, healthcare and social support.
On education, he said the party through the MP’s Common Fund had supported brilliant but needy students at the branch level.
He explained that the programme plans to increase the number of beneficiaries as additional resources become available.
Adiali said the initiative was part of the broader efforts by the constituency leadership, in collaboration with party stakeholders, to support education and respond to the needs of young people.
He also cited support provided by the party to constituents facing health-related challenges, as well as assistance extended to families during funerals across the constituency.
Adiali emphasized that the initiatives were not the work of the chairman alone but resulted from collaboration among the constituency executives, the Member of Parliament, branch structures and other key members and stakeholders of the NDC.
He said Adiali’s role had been to provide leadership and coordinate the collective efforts of the party’s various structures towards strengthening the constituency.
Adiali maintained that the collaboration, grassroots engagement and constituency-level initiatives formed part of the record Dickson Adiali was presenting to delegates as he seeks another term as NDC Chiana-Paga Constituency Chairman.
