He did not breach any code of conduct – Mercy Abada defends Sammy Gyamfi
Abada dismissed the accusations, stating that there is no clear evidence that Gyamfi violated any part of the code.

Mercy Abada, a member of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) Communications Team for the Navrongo Central Constituency, has come to the defence of the Acting Chief Executive Officer of the Ghana Gold Board, Sammy Gyamfi, over a controversial video involving evangelist Nana Agradaa.
In the viral video, Sammy Gyamfi is seen giving dollar notes to Nana Agradaa, sparking criticism and accusations from the Minority in Parliament.
The Minority alleged that Gyamfi had breached the President’s code of conduct for public appointees and called on the President to take disciplinary action.
However, speaking on the Big Mike Breakfast Show on Wednesday May 14, Abada dismissed the accusations, stating that there is no clear evidence that Gyamfi violated any part of the code.
“What in the code of conduct do they think Sammy Gyamfi has breached? What specific code did he breach?” she queried, criticizing the Minority’s failure to cite any specific provision of the code of conduct that was allegedly violated.
She pointed out that the relevant section of the code cited by critics pertains to the receipt of gifts, whereas in this case, Gyamfi was the one giving money.
“They were quoting the one that talks about receiving gifts, but in this case, Sammy Gyamfi was the one giving money to someone. So what is their case?” she asked.
Abada accused the Minority of exaggerating the situation for political gain. “I think because of who Sammy Gyamfi is, the Minority thinks they’ve gotten some meat and want to bring some flies to make news out of it. He has been a thorn in their flesh,” she said.
The Presidency is yet to issue an official statement on the matter.
