I am conscious of the promises I made and I am delivering – Simon Aworigo
Aworigo emphasised job creation as one of his top priorities, noting that unemployment remains a major challenge in the area.
The Member of Parliament for Navrongo Central, Simon Akibange Aworigo, has reaffirmed his commitment to fulfilling the promises he made to constituents prior to his election.
Speaking on the Big Mike Breakfast Show on Monday, December 8, one year after his election, the MP outlined key development initiatives currently underway across the constituency.
“I campaigned on a manifesto, and now as MP, I am conscious of the things I told the people of Navrongo Central, based on which they voted for me and the President,” Aworigo said. “We also campaigned on the manifesto of the NDC, and the government is delivering on that as well.”
Aworigo emphasised job creation as one of his top priorities, noting that unemployment remains a major challenge in the area.
“I made a promise to help find jobs for our people because I realized unemployment is a big issue. It is something I am working on consciously to ensure our youth get opportunities I cannot mention names, but I have facilitated employment for many individuals in different sectors.”
The MP also highlighted progress and ongoing plans in critical areas including agriculture, health, and education.
On infrastructure, particularly roads, a major concern for many communities, Aworigo assured residents that proposals have been submitted and some projects are awaiting approval.
“I want to assure the people of Manyoro that the road leading to their community is among those submitted for construction. It is a priority for me as MP, and hopefully, we should hear good news soon, the Saboro–Wusungu road, the Ayangdoone stretch, the Doba side, all of these are in progress and receiving attention.”
Aworigo reiterated his commitment to delivering on his mandate and called for continued support from constituents as development efforts advance.
