Jonathan Abdallah Salifu declares bid for NDC Upper East Regional Secretary
NDC Upper East Regional Communication Officer Jonathan Abdallah Salifu has declared his intention to contest the Regional Secretary position, citing his over two decades of party experience.

Jonathan Abdallah Salifu, the Upper East Regional Communication Officer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), has declared his intention to contest for the position of Upper East Regional Secretary when nominations open.
In a statement announcing his intention, Salifu said his decision followed “deep reflection and extensive consultation” with party stakeholders across the region.
He highlighted more than two decades of involvement in the NDC, saying his political journey began as a Branch Executive at Tindonsoe in 2006 and subsequently saw him serve as Deputy Constituency Youth Organiser and Constituency Secretary for the Bolgatanga Central Constituency.
According to him, his experience at the branch, constituency and regional levels has given him an understanding of the party’s structures, grassroots politics and the requirements of effective party organisation.

Salifu said he is offering his “experience, energy and commitment” to serve as Regional Secretary, should nominations open, adding that he would undertake the role with humility, confidence and a sense of responsibility to the party and its members.
He has appealed to government appointees, former appointees, Members of Parliament, party executives, elders and grassroots members for their support and confidence.
“The work ahead requires unity, experience, organisation and renewed energy,” he said, adding that his objective would be to help consolidate the gains made, strengthen the party’s structures and move the Upper East NDC forward.
