Kassena Nankana West DCE’s performance satisfactory – Chiana-Paga NDC communications officer

Avoyam commended the DCE for demonstrating commitment, sacrifice, and capable leadership in addressing the needs of the people.

The Communications Officer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the Chiana-Paga Constituency , Stephen Avoyam, has praised the District Chief Executive (DCE) for the Kassena Nankana West District, Stephen Aeke Akurugo, describing his performance since assuming office as satisfactory.

Speaking in an interview on Mike FM, Avoyam commended the DCE for demonstrating commitment, sacrifice, and capable leadership in addressing the needs of the people.

“Sincerely speaking, my expectations have really been met. In our earlier interview, I indicated he was an energetic young man with fresh ideas and bringing him on board was going to be beneficial to the district, and indeed, I still stand by that assertion. He has been good since coming to office.” Avoyam said.

He revealed that Akurugo had gone beyond official duties by using his personal resources to support development initiatives while awaiting the District Assembly Common Fund. According to him, the DCE has “a lot on his table to execute” and the successful implementation of these plans will bring massive benefits to the district and constituency.

Avoyam cited, among others, the procurement and distribution of over 1,000 bags of fertiliser to farmers in the district, which he said the DCE funded personally, to support agricultural activities while awaiting the government’s “Feed Ghana” fertiliser supply.

Also contributing to the discussion, the Deputy Constituency Communications Officer of the NDC, Denis Akworiwo, highlighted the achievements of the government in improving lives across the country, including in the Chiana-Paga Constituency.

“I think the change is reflecting in everyone’s life across the country and, like he mentioned, every part of the manifesto we promised the people of Ghana and for that matter, Chiana-Paga, we have delivered. I can say we have achieved 60% so far of what we promised the people to do. Everyone is feeling the impact.” Akworiwo stated.
