Mahama commits to upgrading War Memorial Hospital in Navrongo

In line with healthcare infrastructure provision in the region he also assured of the completion and upgrading of the Bolgatanga Regional Hospital.

President of the Republic of Ghana, John Dramani Mahama has reiterated his commitment to upgrade the War Memorial Hospital in the Kassena-Nankana Municipality of the Upper East Region.

Addressing chiefs and people of the Upper East Region during his Thank You Tour at the regional capital in Bolgatanga on Thursday March 20, 2025, President Mahama underscored the healthcare impact of the War Memorial Hospital and assured of its upgrading.

“Among other projects we are targeting for completion and upgrading include the Navrongo War Memorial Hospital, to upgrade the facilities there to enhance medical services and support medical training.” He noted.

In line with healthcare infrastructure provision in the region he also assured of the completion and upgrading of the Bolgatanga Regional Hospital.

“ We also will commence and complete phase III of the Upper East Regional Hospital here in Bolga to enhance specialised healthcare services for the residents of the Upper East Region.” he added.

The President indicated that he is committed to delivering on his promises to the people of the Upper East Region drawing from the confidence reposed on him during the 2024 general election.

“I recognise that the emphatic mandate you have given me reflects your heightened expectations of me and my government, it is an affirmation of your trust in the principles of fairness, probity and accountability that form the bedrock of NDC ideological underpinnings, more importantly It’s an expression of your confidence in our vision to reset Ghana and transform the fortune of our dear Upper East Region.” he stated.
