Mike FM’s David Adapuna selected for Presidential Media Encounter
The event, which will be held at the Presidency in Accra, marks the first media engagement of President John Dramani Mahama's second term in office.
David Adapuna, Journalist and host of the Big Mike Breakfast Show on Mike FM, has been selected to participate in the highly anticipated Presidential Media Encounter scheduled for Wednesday, September 10, 2025, at 8:00 pm.
The event, which will be held at the Presidency in Accra, marks the first media engagement of President John Dramani Mahama’s second term in office.
According to an official statement issued and signed by Minister of Government Communications, Felix Kwakye Ofosu, on Monday, September 8, the Media Encounter will serve as a critical platform for President Mahama to address the Ghanaian public on key national matters, including his Resetting Ghana Agenda, current policies, and ongoing development projects.
“It will also offer an opportunity for journalists to pose questions directly to the President on a wide range of subjects affecting the nation. Participation will be strictly by accreditation,” the statement read.
David Adapuna’s inclusion among the accredited journalists reflects his growing influence in the media landscape and the reputation of Mike FM as a platform for impactful journalism.
The Presidential Media Encounter will be broadcast live on Mike FM, allowing listeners across the world to follow the President’s address and the ensuing discussions in real time. There will also be a post-event analysis on the Big Mike Breakfast Show.
The Media Encounter is expected to cover a broad array of issues, including the economy, infrastructure, education, healthcare, and national security, offering the public deeper insight into the government’s performance and direction for the rest of the year.
