NPP has a bright Future in the Upper East, but……. – Johnson Ayine

He expressed confidence that the party would bounce back to its former glory and reclaim its position in the region as the preferred political party known for championing development.

Johnson Ayine, a member of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) regional communications team in the Upper East Region, says the future of the party looks bright despite current challenges.

He expressed confidence that the party would bounce back to its former glory and reclaim its position in the region as the preferred political party known for championing development.

Speaking on the Big Mike Breakfast show on Monday, October 20, Ayine urged the NPP grassroots to unite and avoid acrimony and mudslinging.

He stated that unity was the only way the party could come back stronger than before and wrestle power from the National Democratic Congress (NDC), which he said is building on the good works initiated by the NPP.

“Yes, the NPP has a bright future in the Upper East Region. But we have to stop hating each other and end the pull-him-down syndrome and unite.” Ayine told Host of the BMBS, David Adapuna.

Ayine, who is eyeing the position of Regional Communications Officer, criticised the current NDC government for taking credit for projects initiated under the previous Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo administration.

He noted that past NPP governments had worked to improve the lives of the people in the Upper East Region, citing interventions such as road infrastructure projects that helped connect communities and towns.

“During the term of Akufo-Addo and the late Kofi Adda, the Kologo–Navrongo road was awarded on contract, and bridges were constructed.”
