NPP wishes NDC peaceful, credible Constituency Executive Elections in Navrongo Central

Navrongo Central NPP wishes the NDC peaceful, transparent and credible constituency executive elections while reaffirming its commitment to democratic accountability ahead of 2028.

The New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the Navrongo Central Constituency has extended goodwill messages to the National Democratic Congress (NDC) ahead of its constituency executive elections scheduled for Saturday, October 24.

In a statement dated October 22, and signed by its Constituency Communication Officer, Jacob Asomadagwine, the NPP wished the NDC a successful election, urging all aspirants, delegates and party members to prioritise peace, transparency and the collective interest of Navrongo Central.

The NPP described internal party elections as important democratic exercises that strengthen democratic institutions, deepen political participation and promote multiparty democracy in Ghana.

It expressed hope that the elections would be peaceful, transparent, credible, fair and free from violence or electoral malpractice.

The party also urged all stakeholders to place the interests of the constituency above personal ambitions, political rivalries and factional considerations.

The NPP further expressed its readiness to engage with the newly elected NDC constituency executives in a spirit of mutual respect and democratic responsibility to advance the interests of the people of Navrongo Central.

However, it stressed that its goodwill message should not be interpreted as political complacency, insisting that it would continue to hold the NDC government accountable for its promises, policies and performance.

The party pledged to scrutinise government decisions, speak up for the people and highlight failures and unfulfilled promises that undermine the aspirations of residents of Navrongo Central and Ghanaians in general.

Looking ahead to the 2028 general elections, the NPP expressed confidence that the newly elected NDC constituency executives would face a formidable political challenge from the opposition party.

It said it hoped the outcome of the internal elections would strengthen the NDC’s organisational capacity while maintaining that the NPP remained determined to challenge the party in the next general elections.

The NPP concluded by wishing the NDC a peaceful and successful constituency executive election, emphasising that the people of Navrongo Central should remain the ultimate beneficiaries of the democratic process.
