The Queen Mother of Uwasi, Hajia Comfort Akantua, on Saturday May 16, marked her birthday celebration with a donation of assorted items to the Uwasi CHPS Compound in the Builsa South District.
The donation formed part of her efforts to support healthcare delivery and improve the welfare of residents in the community.
Items presented to the health facility included plastic chairs, buckets, detergents, disinfectants, mattresses, mops, brooms, toiletries, and other essential supplies to aid the daily operations of the CHPS compound.
Speaking during the presentation, Hajia Comfort Akantua said the gesture reflected her commitment to promoting quality healthcare and supporting health workers serving the people of Uwasi and its surrounding communities.
She commended staff of the facility for their dedication and encouraged them to continue delivering quality healthcare services to residents.
She also assured the facility of her continuous support towards improving healthcare delivery in the area.
Receiving the items on behalf of the Uwasi CHPS Compound, the Acting Director of Health for the Builsa South District, Tahiru Ayariga, expressed appreciation to the Queen Mother for the donation.
He described the support as timely and significant, noting that the items would greatly enhance the work of the facility and improve service delivery to patients.
Ayariga further appealed to individuals, philanthropists, and organisations to emulate the Queen Mother’s example by supporting health facilities within the district to help strengthen healthcare services for communities.
