Signing of peace pact signals positive outcome after primaries – Francis Bugase

Bugase said the move demonstrates the party’s commitment to cohesion and discipline, and positions the NPP for a stronger showing after the primaries.

A member of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Communications Team for the Chiana-Paga Constituency, Francis Bugase, has expressed optimism that the signing of a peace pact by contestants in the party’s upcoming primaries will lead to a positive outcome and strengthen party unity going forward.

Speaking on the Big Mike Breakfast Show on Friday, January 23, Bugase said the move demonstrates the party’s commitment to cohesion and discipline, and positions the NPP for a stronger showing after the primaries.

According to him, the peace pact is a critical document that will help keep the party united once the internal contest is concluded.

“The peace pact that was signed is an indication of inclusion and fairness, and this should lead to everyone coming on board after January 31.” He stated.

Bugase noted that the atmosphere at the signing ceremony contradicted claims by political opponents that the NPP is divided in the constituency.

He explained that the display of camaraderie among party members, evident in handshakes and expressions of goodwill, sent a strong signal of unity.

“Seeing party members at the ceremony shaking hands and showing happiness gives me hope. It rather creates fear in those who thought the NPP was at war or deeply divided.” He added.

He concluded that the peace pact has set the right tone for the party, one that will not only ensure a smooth primary process but also propel the NPP towards victory in subsequent elections.
