SSNIT takes services to Navrongo for 2025 Mobile Service Week
Services being offered include biometric registration, update of personal and beneficiary information, merger of SSNIT and Ghana Cards, and other customer-related assistance.
The Social Security and National Insurance Trust (SSNIT) has launched its annual outdoor customer service program, the SSNIT Mobile Service Week, aimed at bringing its services closer to the public.
The exercise is taking place in the Kassena-Nankana Municipality from October 21 to 24, at the premises of the Ghana Education Service Treasury Block in Navrongo. The program runs daily from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Services being offered include biometric registration, update of personal and beneficiary information, merger of SSNIT and Ghana Cards, and other customer-related assistance.
Speaking on the Big Mike Breakfast Show on Tuesday, October 21, the SSNIT Branch Manager for Bolgatanga, Kwaku Appiah Twumasi, explained that the initiative is designed to make SSNIT services easily accessible to contributors and pensioners who may find it difficult to visit regional offices.
“The SSNIT Mobile Service Week is an annual outreach program where we set up tents and canopies in communities to bring our services to the people. Instead of residents traveling all the way to Bolgatanga, we have brought SSNIT to Navrongo,” Twumasi said.
He also cautioned the public against paying for any SSNIT service, emphasizing that all services provided by the Trust are completely free.
“We do not charge for our services. Registration, statement issuance, and all other services are free. So no one should pay anyone claiming to be working on behalf of SSNIT,” he stressed.
This year’s Mobile Service Week is being observed under the theme “A Legacy of Service,” marking SSNIT’s 60 years of delivering income security to workers in Ghana.
Twimasi further encouraged workers to consistently contribute to the SSNIT scheme, noting that doing so ensures a sustainable and secure future during retirement.
The SSNIT Mobile Service Week continues through Thursday, October 24, and residents of Navrongo and its environs are encouraged to take advantage of the opportunity to update their records and address any concerns with SSNIT.
