UE/R: West Cluster Districts receive information van and computers to enhance public communication
The intervention is aimed at strengthening public education and communication across the West Cluster districts by equipping the Information Services Department with modern tools to enhance information delivery and government outreach.
The Kassena-Nankana Municipal, Kassena-Nankana West District, Builsa South District, and Builsa North Municipal have received a multi-purpose information service van and desktop computers to strengthen public education and information delivery.
The presentation was made at a ceremony held at the Kassena-Nankana Municipal Assembly on Monday, April 13, where the four districts collectively known as the West Cluster officially took delivery of the equipment to support the work of the Information Services Department.
Speaking at the ceremony, the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for the Kassena-Nankana municipality, Faustina Abulu described the intervention as a strategic effort to strengthen the bridge between government and the people through effective communication and information delivery.
“This is not just a handing-over ceremony; it is an investment in trust, communication and development. When people are informed, they are empowered, and when they are empowered, there is proper development.” Abulu said
Receiving the items on behalf of the beneficiary districts, the Kassena-Nankana Municipal Information Officer, Joyce Esi, expressed appreciation to government for the support, noting that the intervention would significantly improve their work.
“We are grateful for this support. This is not just a handing-over ceremony; it is an investment in trust, communication and development.” She said.
The intervention forms part of a broader nationwide initiative by government to modernise the Information Services Department and strengthen public communication through improved tools and technology.
