YEA opens recruitment portal for police and prison assistants

The recruitment of Police and Prison Assistants is part of ongoing national efforts to combat youth unemployment and bolster public safety.

The Youth Employment Agency (YEA) has officially launched its application portal for the recruitment of Police and Prison Assistants as part of ongoing national efforts to combat youth unemployment and bolster public safety.

The announcement was made by YEA Chief Executive Officer, Malik Basintale, via social media and sighted by Mike FM.

According to Basintale, the recruitment drive forms part of newly secured slots with the Ghana Police Service and the Ghana National Fire Service.

“The application for recently secured slots with the Ghana Police Service and the Ghana National Fire Service has been made open on our website,” Basintale stated.

Interested applicants can now submit their applications online through the official YEA portal at www.yea.gov.gh, or alternatively visit any of the agency’s regional or district offices for support in the application process.

Basintale also issued a strong caution against fraud, reminding the public that the application process is completely free of charge.

“Please be reminded that it’s free of charge and you would not be requested to pay any amount either at the regional office, at the district office, or online. Kindly do not allow fraudsters to take advantage of you in these hard situations to secure jobs for you,” he emphasized.

The recruitment initiative is expected to provide thousands of job opportunities for young Ghanaians, while also contributing to national security development.

Prospective candidates are urged to carefully review the eligibility requirements listed on the portal and submit their applications before the official deadline.
